Our principals have institutional investment banking and private equity backgrounds with experience across a variety of industries including software, business services, industrials and manufacturing. We believe small business is the backbone of America and is often underserved by institutional advisors and investors. We take a partnering approach with our clients and offer a combination of strategic and operating advisory, capital investment and often exchange our services for equity to demonstrate alignment with the success of our partner companies.
THE team
We have a highly dedicated and focused team with over 50 years combined investment banking and principal investing experience executing over 100 transactions totaling more than $25 billion in transaction value. The firm also has an extensive network of operating and investment partners currently with leading investment banks, hedge funds, family offices and private equity firms providing a significant pool of operating, investment and advisory resources.
managing Partner
Taylor started his investment banking career with Commerce Capital Group in 2001, advising and executing numerous buyside, sellside and corporate divestiture transactions. At CCG, Taylor advised companies ranging from small businesses with under $10 million of revenues to mid-size market leaders over $300 million and transaction size ranging from under $10 million to over $1 billion. Primarily focused on the industrial infrastructure sector, Taylor advised on transactions involving many industry leaders including SBA Communications, Dycom Industries, Quanta Services, Parsons Corporation, Asplundh and many of the sectors’ leading private equity investment firms. He was instrumental in the co-founding and sale of United States Infrastructure Corporation and is currently an active investor in a portfolio of small and mid-size private companies including T4 Spatial, Osmose Utility Services, SKG International and Cielo24. Taylor has a degree in business economics with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Randy has more than ten years of investment banking, operating, and strategic business advisory experience, working with US and international companies across various industries, including Technology / Software, Industrial, and Business Services. Most recently, Randy has spent time in Advisory and Operating Roles with small and medium sized businesses working with management teams and Boards on strategic and financial decisions. Randy also spent eight years in investment banking, most recently as Vice President with Houlihan Lokey, where he focused on sell-side, buy-side, private placement, divestiture, and other advisory services for Software and Technology companies. He also worked at Pacific Crest Securities / Keybank where he worked on M&A and Public Equity offerings, including Alibaba, ExactTarget (acquired by Salesforece), FireEye, Fleetmatics (acquired by Verizon), Paycom, Qualys, Qunar, ServiceNow, Splunk and Workday. Randy earned his MBA from Georgetown University and degree in economics from the University of California, Davis.
